A Brief Walk Down Stoney Street

It’s like reversing the arrow of time.

Causal relationships in our little bubble of spacetime are not running backwards, nor are, to borrrow from the good old quantum, wave functions refusing to collapse. However, the perception of causality is breaking down, to an extent, inside the minds of laughing monkeys such as myself. Sometimes certain occurrences are difficult to notice from within, but this time I caught it, caught myself being surprised by the shift in perspective as a virtual entity turned out to have a real life counterpart.

It may be that the source of the issue was in a medium akward to recognize for a source of virtual/actual confusion. It may be that the name was, simply, too suggestive. Or it may be that I am just getting old and certain neural pathways are becoming more firmly set than others.
